short blurb about the house by realtors alix & shona : and also listed by sothebys.
exceptional waterfront custom-designed property built to exacting detail with panoramic views to mountains, city, bowen island and sunsets! extra square footage here. master bedroom/bathroom with deck that will satisfy the most romantic! 500 sq.ft. main deck with 13 ft. retractable awning, heaters, speakers & special lights. 2 bedrooms on lower level plus a view room which could be movie area, or exercise area or both or more. 2 car enclosed garage with easy access to point grey road. custom glass elevator – state of the art. lutron lighting system, 600 bottle wine cellar. and this house sits out front right over the ocean & is stunning.
the house sit on an amazing piece of real estate but the fact that is is in essence only a 2 bedroom house, will be a hard sell. looking at the plans, what could be done is : on 2nd floor, reduce the size of the shower/toilet room and change the walk in closet on the east side to a bedroom. move the laundry room to the ground floor by removing one of the bathrooms, and the laundry room on the top floor could become a den or a small guest bedroom. just a thought.
perhaps if the sleeping area behind the folding doors on the ground floor (i do not consider this a proper bedroom) is retained, this house could be a ‘3 bedroom + den + sleeping space’ house, all in the same footprint.
the front door of the house is located up a flight of stairs from the sidewalk. simple facade of stained wood siding and aluminum clad windows creates the modern aesthetic.
the kitchen is up a few steps from the living room to ensure views from both spaces.
ground floor rec room has sweeping views thru floor to glass windows and doors. frame-less glass guardrail ensures the view is not block when seated.
the master ensuite has two individual sink vanities and two-person tub is beyond to enjoy the view to the north and north-east.
