  1. I get it. flat roof,boxy design equals modern. Throw in nice finishes, high end appliances, and voila!
    The new Vancouver Special ..or “Mcmodern”.

    • your comment implies that there are thousands of houses like this in vancouver, yet there is nothing ‘vancouver special’ or cookie cutter about these homes.
      if these type of homes were truly the norm; us, modernists wouldn’t have to make a fuss about what we believe in.

  2. Agree David. Great site, we especially appreciate your candid comments regarding what you think doesn’t work with some designs. We are currently building an Evoke designed house in Vancouver and we find the resources in your blog very helpful and inspiring.
